The Skycamp 4.0 Duo sets up in under a minute thanks to its gas strut-assisted design. You can keep your bedding inside while closed, and takedown is just as fast—ideal for spontaneous getaways or longer road trips.
Mounting Requirements
The Skycamp 4.0 Duo is compatible with most vehicles that have a roof rack or crossbars rated for a minimum dynamic load of 140 lbs (64 kg). It includes everything needed for at-home installation using basic tools and a second set of hands.

Crossbar Width: Must not exceed 3.5” wide or 1.5” tall to fit included brackets
Note: Not all factory crossbars meet RTT weight requirements. Aftermarket racks from Yakima, Thule, Rhino-Rack, and Prinsu are generally recommended.

HC Steps - Step pads for the ladder—wide, grippy surfaces make climbing in safer and more comfortable.
Storage Rack 3.0 - Heavy-duty 600D Oxford polyester organizer with six pockets, two mesh sections, MOLLE webbing, and a Velcro patch area. Easily mounts to the accessory rings on the rail underneath the extension panel.
Shoe Rack 3.0 - Weatherproof storage for up to six pairs of shoes, hanging securely beside the ladder on the accessory rings. Mesh side pockets, rain‑cover flap, and folds compactly for storage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the main differences between the 4.0 and the 3.0?
The 4.0 features key functional upgrades: premium cork-topped ThermaSeal™ flooring, an upgraded DuraCore™ double-layered shell, refined BreathWeave™ blackout canvas, larger windows and doors, and an added 75in² of usable interior space without changing the overall footprint of each tent. We’ve also added thoughtful convenience features like integrated interior lighting, duct and electrical pass-throughs, and optional air mattress systems.
Q: Are 3.0 accessories compatible with the 4.0?
The 4.0 models have a larger opening than previous generations making any accessory that attaches at the entrance incompatible. We anticipate 4.0 compatible Annex Plus, Awning, and Insulation Tent to be available starting this summer.
However, the HC steps, Bracket Locks, Storage Rack, Mounting Rail End Caps and Shoe Rack remain compatible across generations.
Q: Will an iKamper roof top tent fit my vehicle?
Skycamp tents are designed to be fit most vehicle types and roof rack systems due to the universal mounting brackets.
The main requirements are that your vehicle roof and rack have a dynamic weight load of at least 185lbs (84kg) for the 4.0 Quad, 155lbs (71kg) for the 4.0 Trio, and 140lbs (64kg) for the Duo. ( In addition, your cross bars need to be at least 30” / 76 cm apart (22” / 55 cm apart for the Skycamp Mini).
