Ladder Weight Capacity

The included telescoping ladder can support up to 330 lbs (150 kg).
If multiple people are using the tent, please climb in or out one at a time to stay safe and prevent stress on the ladder.

Roof Rack & Cross Bar Limitations

Your roof rack is just as important as your tent when it comes to safety and performance.
While your iKamper tent can handle up to 900 lbs, your rack system determines the actual load you can carry. Here’s what to check:

  • Dynamic Capacity: The amount of weight your rack can handle while driving

  • Static Capacity: The amount of weight it can handle while parked

Always verify these numbers with your rack manufacturer before installing your tent.

Mounting Accessories to Your Skycamp

We don’t recommend directly mounting accessories to the Skycamp shell.
Drilling or bolting anything to the fiberglass shell will void your warranty and may compromise the structural integrity of your tent.

If you’d like to mount gear on top, look into non-permanent solutions like:

Always check with the manufacturer before purchasing or installing accessories on your Skycamp.

Mounting Accessories to Your X-Cover

  • X-Cover 1.0 & 2.0: These models came with built-in crossbars rated for up to 60 lbs (27 kg) great for smaller items like bikes, skis, or light gear.

  • X-Cover 3.0: This updated design does not include built-in crossbars, offering more flexibility for height clearance. It’s a great option if you want a sleeker, lower profile tent.

Mounting Accessories to Your BDV

Yes, the BDV was made for accessories! With the BDV Accessory Rack, you can mount a wide variety of gear directly to your tent. The system includes:
