Before You Begin

  • Vehicle Rack Check: Make sure your crossbars or bed/cab rack are rated for the tent’s dynamic weight (165 lbs / 75 kg) and static weight (500 lbs / 227 kg).

  • Tent Placement: Park on level ground and ensure there’s enough space to fully open the tent and extend the ladder.

  • Weather & Safety: Avoid setting up in high winds or on steep inclines your first time.

  • Clamshell with a folding mechanism and gas struts that assist lifting the roof.

    1. Unlock the latches.

    2. Lift the roof; gas struts will open it fully.

    3. Extend the ladder and pull out the extension panel.

    4. Adjust the ladder, add in your tension poles and make your bed!

  • Hybrid hard/soft shell design that opens in seconds and offers a light set-up.

    1. Undo buckles and skirt strap to expose tent on the inside.

    2. Lift the extension panel open using the ladder as a fulcrum point.

    3. Adjust the ladder, add in your tension poles and make your bed!

  • Hard-shell Wedge with reinforced exoshell design.

    1. Unlock the latches.

    2. Lift the roof; gas struts will open it fully.

    3. Adjust the ladder, add in your tension poles and make your bed!

💡 General First-Time Tips

  • Practice at Home: Do your first setup in the driveway or backyard. It helps you get familiar with the mechanism.

  • Check Clearance: Ensure the ladder and tent roof don’t hit trees, vehicles, or awnings.

  • Secure Accessories: Attach annexes, ladders, or awnings after the tent is fully opened.

  • Keep the Manual Handy: Each tent comes with a manual; reviewing it first saves time and ensures safety.
