When your roof top tent arrives, it’s important to follow a few key steps to ensure everything is in good condition and that any potential freight damage can be addressed quickly.
What to Do When Your Tent Arrives
1. Inspect the package before signing
Walk around the shipment and visually inspect all sides of the box and packaging.
Look for any signs of damage: dents, punctures, crushed corners, broken straps, missing or broken pallet, or torn cardboard.
2. Take clear photos of everything
Photograph the package, any visible damage, and later, the tent itself as it’s removed.
Also take a photo of the delivery receipt, especially if you’ve noted damage.
3. Note any damage on the delivery receipt
Before signing, write a short note describing any visible damage (e.g., “Puncture in top right corner of box”).
If the damage appears severe, you may refuse the delivery, this will help expedite a replacement.
4. Unbox the tent and inspect contents
Carefully open the box and remove packaging.
Check the tent shell and accessories for any shipping damage or missing items.
5. Contact iKamper Support within 48 hours
If damage is found, send us:
Photos of the box and product damage
A photo of the delivery receipt with damage noted
A short description of what happened during delivery
Submit the Roof Top Tent Shipping Damage Form within 48 hours, including photos of the damage, the box, and the delivery receipt.
