iKamper uses several different poles, each designed for specific functions. From canopy support, awning setup, to annex framing. This guide explains the differences between each, their specifications, compatible products, and how to purchase replacements.

Spare poles make it a breeze to convert the doors of your Annex/Annex Plus into canopies. Giving you even more room to enjoy the outdoors.

Canopy Poles

Tension Rods

Flexible rods used to deploy the windows and opening of your rainfly on an iKamper.

  • Material: Aluminum

  • Length: Varies by tent model

  • Set Count: The Skycamp series come with six, two for the entrance and 4 for the windows. But make sure to specify your generation as the tension rods style changed from Skycamp 2.0 to Skycamp 3.0. The X-Cover series and prior use 6, four for the entrance and rear winow, and two for the windows. But make sure to specify your generation as the tension rods style changed from X-Cover 2.0 to X-Cover 3.0. The BDV series uses two for the front window.

  • Compatible with: Each tent takes it's own variation, so please specify your model and generation when ordering to ensure you receive the right tension rods.

These are the structured poles that form the frame for iKamper Annex

    • BDV = 86" (Comes with one)

  • Connections: Shock-corded, folding segments

Description

Poles used to support standalone awnings or accessory tarps.

How to Tell Which Pole You Need

If the customer doesn’t know the name of the pole:

  • Ask which tent model they own

  • Ask where the pole is used (canopy, window, annex, inside the tent, etc.)

  • Compare pole diameter, flexibility, and whether it’s telescoping or shock-corded

  • Request a photo to confirm

Common Scenarios

  • Broken tension rod: often due to bending in cold weather

  • Lost canopy pole: easy replacement via Spare Parts page

  • Damaged annex pole segment: likely requires Support to invoice a single replacement

Warranty Info

  • All replacement parts carry a 1-year warranty

  • Warranty covers defects, not wear and tear

  • International shipping not available for spare parts

Do poles differ between 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 tents?
Yes — lengths and fittings may be different. Always confirm model and generation.

Can I use a pole from one tent on another?
Usually no. Poles are designed for specific products.

Do annex poles come individually?
Typically they come as sets. Individual replacement pieces require contacting Support.
